Firstly, we would like to acknowledge two rohe for their commitment to the Kaupapa of Maori touch NZ:
He mihi maioha tenei ki nga rohe e rua, mo te pupuri ki te mauri o te kaupapa o te Po Whakangahau. Congratulations to Nga Hapu o Otaki and Tauranga Moana for adhering to the kaupapa of the po whakangahau (Kapa Haka evening), and for being the best example of supporting the Kaupapa of Maori touch NZ overall. Kapa Haka enforces tikanga Maori and the principles that Maori Touch NZ encompass, which helps to encourage wellbeing and iwi capacity building through sport. To Nga Hapu o Otaki and Tauranga Moana, your efforts and commitment to the MTNZ kaupapa is a prime example of looking after our rangatahi and the overall wellbeing of your rohe and iwi. We hope that you continue to develop and mentor your rangatahi and tuakana, working as one. Click here for more information about the priniciples of Maori Touch NZ.
